SEMINAR ANNOUNCEMENT: OGC VIETNAM 2017

OPEN GEOSPATIAL STANDARDS FOR INFORMATION SHARING IN THE DIGITAL REVOLUTION

ogc FIMO

Presently in Vietnam, most of the information system on Climate change, natural resources, natural disaster are still operated without any standard of data structure, data organizing, data service. Due to this fact, each of the system acts as a stand-alone which is unreusable, and unable to connect with other systems to form a National Data Network on Climate change, Natural resources and Natural disaster.

Internationally, this problem has been solved by OGC (Open Geospatial Conrsortium), whose members are big players in the relevant field like NASA, USGS, Google, Oracle, Airbus, Bently, NOAA, …..(http://www.opengeospatial.org/ogc/members ). The members of OGC have made much effort to develope geospatial standards for Climate change, Natural resources and Natural disaster.

For that reason, an important mission has arised, which is unifying and implementing these geospatial standards on Vietnam’s information systems, then merging these information system with global climate change systems.

Hoping to accomplish that, VCIC and FIMO Center (of Hanoi University of Industry, Hanoi National University, members of OGC) have co-hosted the Seminar “Open Geospatial Standards, implementing on developing a information system on Climate change, Natural resources and Natural disaster on the 23th and 24th of February, 2017.

Details:

  • Time: From 13:30PM, February 23th to 17:30PM February 24th, 2017.
